The $300 is your maximum out-of-pocket — for both PHI members and private-paying patients. If your health fund covers a portion of your treatment, that amount is simply deducted. Many members pay nothing at all.

Where applicable, private health insurance rebates will be applied, which may reduce the amount payable on the day. It does not include impacted wisdom tooth removal, second or third stage root canal treatment, or teeth assessed by the treating dentist as unsuitable for further resin (composite) fillings.
