Dental X-Rays are an essential part of providing quality dental care to our patients. X-Rays provide our dentists with insight into the layout of teeth and their structure within the jaw. At Hillier Road Dental & Implant Centre we offer both standard x-rays as well as the OPG x-rays.
What are OPG X-Rays?
OPG X-Rays is a type of technology that can get a panoramic x-ray of both the upper and lower, jaw including the teeth. The OPG X-Ray machine is designed to rotate around the head during a scan so as to get a complete view of the jaw structure. OPG X-Rays are used to identify:
- Fractures
- Dislocated Jaw
- Teeth Structure
- Infections
- Planning of Surgical Treatment (such as implants)
