Digital Smile Design (also known as DSD), is a digitally focused method which we use to restore a patients smile. Analysing the patient with high-quality digital images and videos to understand the relationship between the teeth, gums, lips, smile, and how they interact with each other when emotions and facial features are active. This ensures that the end result of the patients facial & dental proportions look as natural as possible.

What Is Digital Smile Cloning?

DSC (Digital Smile Cloning) uses Digital Smile Design principles which guide the DSC technique as a whole. Using predictability calculations of the patient’s face and dental structure within the DSD software, and intraoral/extraoral scanning to get a 3D model of the teeth and gums.
An optimal tooth template is created, wherein the natural tooth is then restored/cloned using composite resin, with the template being used simultaneously as a guide. This procedure is quite flexible, giving the patient full say in how they want their smile to look, while also being quite effective, with a same day turn around.
